The system guides the user intuitively through the picking process by illuminating the LED strips on the shelf and the display on the control panel. The insertion of the article is confirmed with a light touch of the pick-by-light buttons - without any effort.

Medi, a highly automated intralogistics company, was faced with the challenge of replacing an outdated and no longer supported picking system. The aim was to optimize the visibility issues and productivity of the warehouse and logistics processes.  

  • Visibility: The old system provided insufficient visual cues, which increased the error rate and made picking more difficult.
  • Picking efficiency: Due to the lack of support and outdated technology, picking was slow and inefficient.
  • Ease of use: The handling of the mechanical buttons of the old pick-by-light system led to more and more errors when sorting and picking goods.

Unser Ansatz:

  • Demontage des alten Systems: Wir begannen mit der sorgfältigen Entfernung des alten Kommissioniersystems, um Platz für die neue Lösung zu schaffen.
  • Installation unserer Pick-to-Light Hardware: Die Pick-by-Light Taster und LED-Leisten wurden an verschiedenen Stationen im Lager installiert, einschließlich Ware-zu-Person Kommissionierstationen, Durchlaufregalen, Put Walls und Palettenstellplätzen.
  • Entwicklung der Schnittstelle zum WMS System von Körber: Um eine reibungslose Integration zu gewährleisten, entwickelten wir eine spezielle Schnittstelle zum bestehenden Warehouse Management System (WMS) von Körber.
